Run a shoe company for eight years. Set the price, build factories, sign the stars. Highest share price wins.
How to play
Eight years. Six shoe companies. One question: whose shares are worth the most at the end?
Each year you make 8 choices: price, quality, factory, warehouses, marketing, a star, how many pairs to make, and what to do with your cash.
Go cheap or go luxury. Cheap shoes sell by the million on thin margins. Luxury sells few pairs at fat margins. If every rival goes cheap, the cheap end turns into a price war.
The bottom bar is your crystal ball. It shows how many pairs you'll probably sell and the profit you'll probably make, live as you move the sliders.
Make the right number of pairs. Too few and you sell out. Too many and the extras pile up and cost you.
Stars sell shoes where they are loved. A cricket legend sells in Asia, a quarterback in North America.
Your share price follows your profits, how fast you grow, your brand and your debt.
Read the headline each year. A recession, a tariff or a World Cup changes what works.
